Quinebaug Valley Trout Hatchery
The Quinebaug Valley Trout Hatchery can be found roughly four miles north of Plainfield in Central Village, CT. This is one of the largest hatcheries in the Eastern United States, and produces more than 320,000 pounds of trout annually.

Creamery Brook Bison has been raising buffalo on their farm since 1990. The public is welcome to purchase bison meat and other products at their store located on-site. An ice-cream shop is also found on the farm, open from May to September. Farm tours, including wagon rides and guided walks (reserations required) are also offered.
